Disabling Devices

 

 

 

Pepper spray contained in a pen (look-a-like) container.

From the table above you can determine that any disabling device such as mace or pepper spray is totally forbidden as carry-on baggage or checked in baggage.

There are some circumstances under which disabling devices may be carried under strict conditions. Dispensation to do so must be granted by the flight operator and the relevant Competent Authority (in Australia, the Competent Authority is CASA).
